From the beginning, we set out to develop training programmes where our students could both start and progress their skiing careers, training and working as instructors within Altitude Ski & Snowboard School.

Unlike stand-alone course providers, when you book a course with Altitude you benefit from an experienced and established training program run alongside our established ski school, and by our own professional and experienced coaching team.

    Job Opportunities

Altitude receive hundreds of applications from instructors each year, and there is a high level of competition for positions across the industry. One big advantage of our courses is that our ISIA and Level 4 trainees have a part-time work contract with us for the peak weeks of the season, and once qualified the top ten performers from our Level 1 & 2 course are given the opportunity to work during peak-weeks within the school.

Joining us on one of our training courses can be a great way to get your foot in the door for your future instructing career, or simply providing invaluable work experience for whatever you choose to do next.

    Safety and Support

Safety is a number one concern at Altitude and we are very proud of our proven track record. All of our coaches are fully first aid qualified and experienced with handling any accidents or situations which may arise on the slopes. Off the mountain our resort staff are on hand 24/7 throughout the course to help students with any problems or questions they may have.

Trainees on all of our courses are assigned an experienced mentor to individually develop their training plan throughout the course. They are available for any questions you may have, and provide support when you are settling in to the course, during training and before and after exams.

    Pass Rates

Altitude has a proven track record for achieving high pass rates on our courses and over the past 22 years we have trained and prepared over 1000 future instructors for exams at all levels; more than any other school in Verbier. We are very proud of our students’ successes, some of whom have worked and trained with us right through to achieving their top BASI and Swiss qualifications, running our training courses and even going on to become BASI trainers to prepare the new generation of instructors.

    Our Experience

Amongst professional ski trainers in the industry Altitude are recognised to be one of the most established and recognised training providers in the world. Altitude has been leading the way when it comes to ski instructor training for more than 22 years and is Verbier’ most established and experienced provider. We employ top qualified coaches, trainers and examiners from all over the world, and above all our coaches are experienced, fun and inspirational riders.

    Accommodation Options

Our flexible accommodation options are available to all Futures students to meet your needs. We offer an option of half-board chalet accommodation for our BASI 1& 2 course, as well as self-catered or a course-only option for those looking to arrange their own accommodation, or who already have this sorted.

Our ISIA and Level 4 training courses also come with the option of self-catered accommodation organised by us where you will be living alongside other trainees, or a course-only option for those who are sorted for accommodation or wish to find their own.

    Equipment Deals
We offer exclusive Rossignol pro deal to our all students so you are fully prepared for your course. We also offer a 30% deal with SunGod to make sure you’re kitted out with the best new goggles and sunglasses.

We also have relationships with sports shops in town to make sure we get you discounts on anything extra you need to buy in resort (whatever you couldn’t quite squeeze into your suitcase!). Top it all off with an Altitude Futures t-shirt or hoody, and you’ll be sorted for the season, both on and off the hill.

    Flexible Courses
We offer both December, January and Feburary start dates for our BASI 1 & 2 instructor course, to fit in with your schedule. Our other course dates are fixed for the full season from December – April, but if you have any plans or commitments during the season, let us know and we’ll see what we can do to work around you.
