Verbier ski instructor course

Altitude truly is the only place to be next season!

a blog by Dean Wilson – Gap ski instructor course 2013-2014

So finally my ski bubble has been burst returning back to the UK having, had a fantastic season out in Verbier. The Gap ski instructor course itself however, has been a fantastic experience and surpassed all my expectations. The Altitude teams were amazing and on a personal level from manager to the coaching team, I am truly thankful for all their guidance, coaching and mentoring throughout the course, which once again speaks for itself with an astounding 100% pass rate achieved this season.

BASI level 2 exams – Verbier

Monday morning got underway bright and early and the Level 2 examinations were finally underway. This being the culmination of the past 8 weeks hard work and what the entire group had been aiming to achieve all season.

As the final day of a 2-week long examination drew to a close there were a few nervous faces within the group as we sat in anticipation waiting for our results from the trainer. On finding out that all the original members of our group had passed it was time for a few celebratory drinks at 1936. These were no less enjoyed as we basked in the glorious sunshine safe in the knowledge we were now qualified BASI ski instructors.

Altitude ski instructor courses – BASI & ISIA

If you’re seriously thinking about becoming a ski instructor look NO FURTHER. Altitude is the only place to be next season and the GAP Course comes highly recommended. I am now focused on continuing down the instructor route and shall be returning back to both Verbier & Altitude (My new home from home) to start ISIA training next season.

Hope to see you on the slopes – or in the Pub Mont Fort!
