BASI Level 1 – 100% pass rate

Arriving in resort Verbier seemed to be suffering from what looked like a heat wave. We soon settled in to our accommodation that would be home for the next 10 weeks and taken to what now feels like our home the social hotspot in town ‘PUB MONT FORT’.

The first weeks training got underway bright and early on the Monday morning with the sunshine being welcomed with open arms. The past weeks have not been ideal for the consistency of the snow quality due to out of the ordinary weather for this time of year, it felt much more like spring than January.

However, with the second week of training well underway in final preparation for the BASI Level 1 examination someone has been looking down on Verbier blessing the resort with some well needed snow.  Overnight around 2 feet of ultra dry powder fell providing fantastic training conditions.

BASI level 1 examinations
The day of reckoning had finally arrived, the much-anticipated BASI Level 1 Instructor examinations.  This crucial week marking the first stepping-stone in making a move into the snow sports industry.

After a week long exam and of course, a few nerves amongst the group we were all informed we had passed. Again ALTITUDE’s impeccable 100% pass rate remaining intact.

With this achievement under our belts the groups sights are now firmly set on the BASI Level 2 exams as we continue our training, developing and refining individual drills and techniques.
