Jon West

Altitude General Manager

Jon is one of a handful of instructors throughout the world to hold the top qualifications from France, Switzerland and Britain.

Ski School Director and local ‘rock star’  Jon is on hand to manage the different parts of the Altitude company portfolio including  the ski and snowboard school, the instructor training programs and also the winter and summer kids camps.  Having worked in the industry for over 15 years Jon has a wealth of experience He recruits the very best staff to provide Altitude students with outstanding training opportunities.

On his days off, Jon can be found playing his guitar in the local après ski bars.

Mikey Edwards 

Futures Ski Coach

Qualifications – BASI Level 4, ISIA, SWISS PATENTE

Mikey has worked in France and Switzerland and is now one of Altitudes most well known and respected coaches.  He holds top certificates from the British, French and Swiss systems, which makes Mikey one of Europe’s most qualified Gap Coaches. His enthusiasm and knowledge for the sport and his funky personality make him one of our most popular coaches. Mikey’s success rates on the Gap and ISIA training courses has meant that he is now one of the most sought after coaches in the industry.

Will Evans 

Futures Ski Coach

Qualifications – BASI Level 4, ISIA, CSIA, SWISS PATENTE

Altitude Team Rider

Will is qualified to the highest level and is one of Altitudes most experienced and talented ski coaches.  He is famous for his inspirational off piste skiing and legendary cliff drops (as well as his coaching skills of course!). Will has established himself as one of the youngest and most influential trainers of skiing in the Alps.  Having spent a number of years coaching in Verbier and France, Altitude are extremely privileged to have Will as a member of the Futures coaching team.

In his spare time, you can find Will jumping off the biggest cliffs he can find!

Sofia Sommer

Futures Snowboard Coach

Qualifications - ISIA. AADIDES 4, SWISS PATENTE

Argentinean Demo Team Rider

An inspirational rider and motivational coach, Sofia is also a member of the Argentinean DEMO team and one of the first female coaches in Argentina! Sofia spends the winter in Verbier teaching and coaching with Altitude and in the summertime she jets off to Argentina where she is a director of the snowboard school club Andino, in Bariloche. In her free time Sofia has loves to travel and ski powder  with friends!

Andre Sommer

World Freeride Competitor 

Andre is one of the most highly qualified and experienced coaches in the industry, and we are very lucky to have Andre as our snowboard school director. Andre regularly competes in the World Freeride Tour and is currently ranked 9^th in the world. His love for powder and fresh tracks make him one of the Worlds most exciting coaches to ride with.

He is a man of few words, but loves to ride and enjoy the spirit of the mountains
