ISIA training preparations

BASI ISIA training

As the forthcoming season rolls ever closer a feeling of anticipation and excitement is well and truly in the air. Last year that was exactly the same, I was preparing to come out to Verbier for the first time with a close friend.

I was booked onto the ISIA course, and I couldn’t wait for it to start. The initial nerves were soon set aside and all of the trainees met one another and grabbed the chance to get training. The preparation had taken place, trying to get fit through dry land fitness in the gym and outside the waiting was over, it was time to base myself up in the Swiss Alps for 6 months. All of us ISIA trainees were raring to go.

A special thanks has to go to all the coaches and trainers throughout the season, they held specific sessions where you could improve your own fitness as well as individual drills and exercises to improve your own personal performance, They made the sessions both fun and engaging whilst still maintaining a challenging level of physical activity. As well as ensuring that your aims were always at the forefront of their mind, whether it be to pass the exams or improve your own personal level of skiing.

If you book onto this course, give it your all and enjoy yourself, you will not be disappointed. You will be surrounded by superb coaches and colleagues who know how to get the best out of your performance and skiing; and to make things even better you will be based in the world renowned resort that is Verbier.
